Parents sue Ryukyu Univ. hospital for negligenceDate Posted: 2001-08-30 According to the plaintiffs, they accepted a recommendation by a doctor at the hospital last August to have their daughter undergo surgery. Their daughter had been suffering from congenital heart disease, and even though the hole in her heart was gradually diminishing, the hospital doctors recommended an operation. Right after the operation, they say, her brain was found seriously damaged. They claim that the natural healing of their daughter could have been anticipated, and that the doctors could have chosen a safer operation. |
