Thank you

Date Posted: 2001-08-22

On August 14th at about 5:30 pm (1730) I had a terrible bike accident. It was on route 58 across the street from the main Camp Lester gate. I was unconscious and when I regained consciousness, a young Japanese man with blond hair was holding my hand.

He didn't speak however he provided me great comfort and reassurance. I would sincerely like to thank him for stopping to help me. Unfortunately, I did not get his name. If who ever it was is reading this, you are truly a good person.

Also, there was an Army Sergeant dressed in BDU's present. I imagine he called the ambulance. He waited at the scene with the young man as well until help arrived and I was taken to the emergency room.

I was hit hard in the head and so I do not remember very much, however the Army Sgt's last name began with a "T" I believe.

I would just like to say to both of these kind souls, your efforts have not been overlooked. I just wish I had been able to thank you in person myself.
Sincerely, Capt Kirk
