The Naha Tokyu Hotel, which was once used as Okinawa’s State Guest House will close at the end of November. The 43 meter high building, the island’s dream hotel, was once Naha’s tallest and was open for 40 years. Its Guest House days were just before and after Okinawa’s reversion of 1972. But as tourism boomed many large resort hotels went up and the Naha Tokyu could no longer compete.
