Knifeman Robs Naha Coffee Shop

A knife wielding robber assaulted a female coffee shop employee in Naha on Monday and escaped with ¥300,000. According to Naha police he entered the Jipang coffee shop in the Makishi district at about 4 a.m. and waited until all other customers had left the shop. Then, he threatened the woman with a knife.

At first she handed over only ¥150,000 but he told her “you must have more money” and kicked her. Then he stole another ¥150,000. The man, between 20 and 25 years old is about 170 cm tall and was wearing a brown jacket and a black baseball cap. He is still at large.
