Dogs Visit Old People’s Home

A local welfare group has started taking dogs to old peoples’ homes to provide comfort to the residents. Last Wednesday a Labrador Retriever named Pumira, and a poodle called Sumire visited the Tokiwa Old People’s Home in Kochinda.

The old people put the poodle on their laps and petted the Retriever as part of the “healing progam” laid on by the group. The service was provided by Kochinda Welfare Association, who plan to continue it. For more information phone 098-998-4000.
