Conference Highlights Students’ Part-Time Job Problems

Students with part-time jobs who have difficulties getting up in the morning and fall asleep in class were some of the problems discussed on Sunday at the Okinawa Prefecture High School PTA Conference at Urasoe Civic Hall. Nine hundred people, including parents and teachers, attended the conference to discuss education in high schools.

Many problems with part-time jobs were reported in the conference. Twenty two percent of the students have a part time job. Sixty seven percent of students who have a part time job have a difficulty in getting up in the morning. Fifty two percent of the students who have a part time job fall asleep in the class. Some high school students even work at liquor stores.
