Island Children Welcome Sumo Wrestler

When a renowned Sumo wrestler entered the gym of Maki elementary school on Ishigaki island last Tuesday, he was treated to a shout of joy by the waiting children. The imposing Kotomitsuki, 1.8 meters tall and weighing 150 kg, was on a private visit to Ishigaki island, where he had been fishing.

Kotomitsuki, who has this year received prizes for Outstanding Performance, Fighting Spirit and Technique, was all smiles at his reception by the children.
