Tokyo Governor Visits Actors’ School

The governor of Tokyo prefecture, Shintaro Ishihara visited the Actors’ School in Naha last Wednesday. His visits to classes teaching subjects like voice training was part of Tokyo prefecture’s education improvement program, which is looking for tips at the methods of schools in other parts of the country.

The Actors’ school is notable for producing many singers and dancers who have found fame and fortune on the mainland in the last decade. Shintaro Ishikawa, is a brother of the late Yujiro Ishihara who was the one of the most famous Japanese movie stars in the 1960s.
