A third grade student at Nishihara Higashi Junior High School was serving steamed rice when a cooked gecko was noticed inside the rice container. The school commented: “It was lucky that a student did not eat the gecko. We have demanded that the factory which supplies us with steamed rice turn in an improvement plan, so that something like this never happens again.”
