World Class Wheels 2001 in KadenaBy: David Knickerbocker Date Posted: 2001-08-09  World Class Wheels 2001 duo Kelly Dean and David Desrochers will display their abilities on Aug. 10 and 11 when they visit Okinawa. They will perform at a high-energy demonstration and skating clinic workshop at the Kadena Youth Center on Friday, and for another demonstration at the Schilling Community Center for the Kadena Pride Family Appreciation Day Celebration the next day. David Desrochers has been an innovative in-line skater for the past ten years and has been on Team Sonic, Team Extreme, and the Vans Stunt Team. He is certified by the International In-line Skate Association and has appeared in the motion picture “Black Belt Angels,” and in commercials for Coca-Cola, Philips Batteries, and Sled Dogs. He has also appeared in numerous videos featuring the world’s top in-line skaters. Kelly Dean, his skateboarding counterpart at the event, has been skating professionally for over ten years and is currently sponsored by Arcade Skateboards, Vans Shoes, Protect Helmets, and Darkside Clothing. Dean has traveled to England, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, South Africa, Germany, and throughout the United States to take part in numerous competitions and exhibitions. If you are into skating, you won’t want to miss these two as they tear up the parks on Kadena.
