Industry support center opens in Oroku

The Public Corporation of Prefectural Industry opened its offices, Thursday, in the Okinawa Industry Support Center in Oroku, Naha City. The public corporation aims to support and foster new industries in the prefecture.

The corporation will offer office space for new ventures rent-free for the first year, including facilities and administrative items. The office will offer consulting services on finance, accounting and law, also at no cost. The maximum length of an rental agreement is three years. There is also space for students who want to establish a business.

Already 13 firms have been chosen from 51 applicants and most of them have completed moving in. Eight of them are businesses related to the information industry.
