Over 50 percent own mobile phones in OkinawaDate Posted: 2001-08-03 According to the report, the percentage of Okinawans who have either mobile phone or PHS reached fifty percent for the first time at the end of June. The report notes that the use of mobile phones is rapidly increasing. The number of mobile phone holders is currently 591,000. That’s a 51-fold increase in the last six years. |
