Flu epidemic affecting central OkinawaDate Posted: 2001-06-29 Normally the flu season in Okinawa and the rest of the world is during winter, but this year the number of people who are infected has surged since the end of May. Medical centers around Okinawa confirmed 127 flu patients during the week of June 11. Nearly two third of them are from Ishikawa City and its surroundings.
