Prefectures beaches graded safe for swimmingDate Posted: 2001-06-22 According to the results, all beaches are marked good for swimming. The 10 cleanest beaches got “AA” marks, including Tropical Beach in Ginowan, Emerald Beach in Motobu Town, Busena Beach in Nago City, and Azama Sun-Sun beach in Chinen Village. The rest of the beaches were all graded “A”. Officials tested the beaches in May for such factors as; pH, number of colon bacillus, visibility, existence of oil on surface, COD and colon bacillus O-157. |
