Educators gather in Naha CityDate Posted: 2001-06-01 About 800 education and affiliated professional participants floated several ideas for improvement and exchanged their ideas on the role of teachers inspiring the children to dream of their future. Another important topic was how to improve communication between the school and its surrounding community. The forum started with a speech by an official from the Ministry of Education, in which he pointed out that the biggest problem for the moment is not the decline of scholarly goals but the students’ hate of schools because they do not understand the classes. “We have to realize that the classes have to be understood as the start of the reform.” The speaker stated. He continued that the government is shifting its educational focus to improving the self-esteem of individuals from the conventional principle in which everyone should be the same. |
