Two U.S. juveniles arrested for robbery, causing injury

Okinawa Prefecture Police Department and Yonabaru Police arrested two American juveniles aged 17 and 18, Wednesday, on charges of robbery and inflicting bodily injury. The juveniles are living in Kadena Town and Yomitan Village, and both are students of a high school on base.

According to the investigation, boys broke a car door in order to steal a stereo set. As the owner of the car discovered them, they hit at him on his face and head, causing injuries requiring ten days of hospital treatment. The boys escaped while the man was asking for help from his family.

The police requested through the military police for the boys to submit to a voluntary questioning since Friday, May 11. The boys admitted the charges last Tuesday.
