Ramos takes over training of Okinawan soccer team

Okinawa Kariyushi Football Club has officially signed with Luiz Ramos, a former captain of the Japanese national team. Ramos will become the technical director of the team.

At the signing ceremony, Thursday, he expressed his hope that he wants to build up a team that could rise to the J-League within a few years. He also said that he is confident that the goal is achievable. He added that it is his dream to produce a player that can play at the national team level.

According to Ramosí plan, the team starts in the prefectural league, and then continues through the Kyushu league and to Japan Football League. After that, the team should be able to look ahead for J-2 League in a few years.

Luiz Ramos was born in Brazil. He came to Japan to play soccer, and has dedicated his life to the Japanese soccer. He became a Japanese citizen to be able to play in Japanís national team.
