Where on Okinawa is John diving this week?Date Posted: 2001-05-18 "Where on Okinawa is John Chandler diving this week?" will be a challenge that encourages you to not only read about the dive sites we enjoy so much here on Okinawa but will reward you for adventuring out to the dive sites. There will be a prize, strategically placed, somewhere at each of the dive sites I write about during the summer months of June July and August. It will always be in water shallow enough for both snorkelers and SCUBA divers to find. Here's how it will work for you. Read the article each week. By the time you have read the article I will have already placed a surprise for you at that dive site. So you will have to find the dive site and then search for YOUR prize. Sometimes there will be more than one prize too. So now it will be worth your while to read Japan Update as soon as it hits the news stands because prizes are going to be waiting for you at the dive sites. What kind of surprises can you expect to find? How about a free copy of my book "A Diver's Scrapbook", or a free day of boat diving to the Kerama Islands donated by FATHOMS DIVE SHOP, or a free seat in my weekend Underwater Photography Plus Specialty. So this summer you will have a good reason to leave that air-conditioned couch and get out to the dive sites I write about You will be able to redeem your finding at FATHOMS DIVE SHOP, located in the heart of dive country on Sunabe Sea Wall. Just drive down to the sea wall from Kadena Gate One and turn right driving along the sea wall for 100 yards. FATHOMS DIVE SHOP is located in the five-story building with the American Flag atop. Drop in, say hi to Rich, and pick up your prize. It has been a great year for diving on Okinawa and I am really looking forward to an even better season in the sun here on Okinawa. My thanks to everyone that has come by our book signings and Art shows during this year to say hello. This is my way of saying thank you to everyone that makes living and diving on Okinawa such a thrill for me. Thank you Divers. See you next week AT THE BEACH! I am the bald guy holding on to the prizes for you. |
