Local resident replaces children’s stolen goats

Date Posted: 2002-02-28

A local resident gave one full-grown female goat and two younger goats to Shonan Elementary School in Haebaru Town on Feb. 21. The goats previously kept by the school were stolen on Feb. 11-12. Students were pleased with the kindness and welcomed the goats as new friends even though they were still worried about the stolen pair of goats. Some tips regarding the whereabouts of the stolen goats were received, but none of them had panned out. As a result, the donor decided to do something helpful for the children who had been so disappointed by the theft of the animals.
