A 43-year-old Prefectural Police officer was arrested for driving under influence of alcohol early Wednesday morning, May 2, in Okinawa City, after he crashed into another car.

According to a police investigation, the suspect had gone to social drinking party with his colleagues in Naha City. After the party he returned home to Okinawa City by taxi. He then got into his car and drove off to see his friend in Chatan, but collided with another car on the way.
