A Spectacular Case of "Professional Driving"

Date Posted: 2000-10-13

On Monday October 2, 2000 at approximately 1530 hrs, a red four wheel drive vehicle was travelling at a high rate of speed from the Nisseki gas station RD 20, up the hill to the traffic light at Kosa Baptist Church. At the Esso gas station, this lady lost control coming up on the sidewalk, hit a tree, spun around and hit two vehicles from the oncoming traffic and hitting another tree located on the opposite side of the first tree she hit. She was transported to the hospital. This vehicle had Okinawan plates and AF stickers access. I live at 5-1-25 Goya, Okinawa City where the accident happened. There was an editorial under :Letters/Opinion" about Professional drivers in todays Stars & Stripes. I call this very professional, how did this lady bounce off one tree, spin around clipping two vehicles and wrapping herself around another tree located straight across from the first tree?
