Typhoon Damaged Tangerine Harvest StartsDate Posted: 2000-10-13 Growers say that this year’s crop is not so good because of damage caused by typhoons that hit the island during the growing season. The farmers are inviting people to come pick up their own tangerines. Those that they eat on the premises are not counted when paying for their picks. Many local families visit the tangerine orchards during the harvest season picking up a few bags of the fruit at bargain prices while also having a fun time picnicking in the lush surroundings. |
