The Tokyo Shock Boys will Shock to the Extreme!!

A group of completely crazy live performers, well-known domestically and abroad, Tokyo Shock Boys, or Dengeki Network as they are known in Japan, is scheduled to perform in Okinawa on April 20. The show titled "New Century Tour 2001": The Legend of the Immortal Men will take place at Dance Club Matsushita in Naha City. This is the first time for the group to perform in Okinawa. What the audience can expect is something they have not seen even in their wildest dreams, and may hope afterwards that they never will. The groups antics, often featured in TV's freak shows both in Japan and abroad include walking live scorpions on the performer's tongue, eating dry ice and smoke billowing out of ears, and exploding firecrackers in various body parts that are not discussed in polite company. To say the least, the performance promises to be unforgettable.

The Tokyo Shock Boys has performed under the motto of "To Be Artists Well Accepted All Over The World" since 1990. They first appeared on a popular TV program in Los Angeles called "The Best of the Worst". They were invited to the well-known comedy festival "Just For Laughs" in Montreal, Canada in 1992, and their popularity in huge in Australia where they have toured several times.

The group does not conduct only crazy performance but also plays music. Their brand new album titled "Gero-Gero" is currently on sale. The CD is their first in six years.

Sango Jugo
Main Performance: To eat lit cigarettes (says three is the limit for a day)
Nanbu Torata
Main Performance: To attach a beer mug on his forehead calling it "Zen power".
Main Performance: To put a live scorpion on his tongue to satisfy it sexually.
Danna Koyanagi
Main Performance: To eat dry ice, blowing smoke out of his nose and ear, and calling himself "Dragon".

The show features several potentially dangerous acts. Visitors are not allowed to carry in cameras, or tape recorders. Some acts may make some spectators uncomfortable. Those who have heart or other medical problems are advised to exercise caution.

The tricks are extremely dangerous, and the organizers advise the spectators NOT to try to repeat the performances.
