Lock-Ins, Leagues, Fun, Food and Drink at Kadena Bowling

Kadena Bowling Center is cheap, open seven days a week, has 46 lanes, a snack bar and a lounge. It has been named best bowling alley in the air force three times in the past six years. It and “Skoshi Bowl” next door, have automatic scoring and bumper bowling, special effects, sound and lighting systems. There are also video games, pinball machines and other amusements. All rooms are smoke free except at one bar.

There is league play, young beginners’ summer classes and free learn to bowl clinics every Saturday for two hours. After school youngsters can enjoy free bowling every weekday throughout the school year. Most popular events for the six to 12 age group are the lock-ins at Skoshi Bowl at various times throughout the year. This allows up to 72 kids to have fun and food from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

There is also glow in the dark bowling or rock-n-bowl. Even the smallest bowler can score some big points. Family days cancel charges for youths when bowling with their parents.

Kadena All Star Lanes offers adult instruction at all levels. There is free bowling as well as many leagues. Some offers give free bowling if you buy breakfast or lunch. The pro-shop sells balls, shoes, bags and other accessories. If your balls are measured and drilled to fit your grip (which can be done in a day) you can have three free games in return.
