Naha Hotelier, Landlord Settle Rent DisputeDate Posted: 2001-04-06 The sides have been at odds over the rent and had been fighting their case in the court. Originally, when "Tomarin" opened in '95, the sides had agreed on a rate of ¥7,500 per tsubo. On the request of the hotel, "Tomarin" reduced the rent to ¥5,000 per tsubo. "Tomarin" asked the hotel to raise the rent back to ¥7,500 after 1998, but the hotel did not accept. Instead, the hotel asked for arbitration by the court last May. |
