Pile Driver

A driver of a car was slightly injured when a pile driver crane fell over Highway 58, Wednesday morning in Asahimachi, Naha City. The tip ot the crane’s boom smashed on the hood of the car as it stood still at a traffic light. The driver sustained slight injuries on his face from broken glass. Another car was also damaged as the boom smashed its trunk. The operator of the crane was not inujured. The female driver of the car was uninjured. The fallen boom cut off the southbound traffic on Highway 58 and caused a traffic jam that stretched some three kilometers north from the accident scene. Many southbound travelers were on their way to the airport and missed their flights because of the delay. The case of the accident is under investigation.
