Trumpet Lilies Start to Cover Miyako Cape

Thousands of pure white Trumpet Lilies swinging in the wind have begun to cover parts of Miyako Island. They are festooning Higashihennazaki in Gusukube Town and the cape will be covered with the lilies by the middle of April to May, a notable tourist attraction.

According to the meteorological observatory in Miyako, the highest temperature of this year, 25.4 degrees Celsius, was recorded on March 16. The first lilies began blooming at the end of last month.
