Korinza Computown Makes ¥100m in 3 Days

Date Posted: 2001-03-30

Okinawa’s biggest shop specializing in personal computers, Computown in the newly re-opened Korinza Mall, has exceeded expectations, with sales in its first 3 days of over ¥100million.

The best selling products are digital cameras, costing around ¥50,000 and laptop computers at around ¥240,000. Customers tend to be quite young and include a fair amount of students and families. The shop has large floor space and sells a variety of specialized pc commodities.

The shop manager said “I was very confident of successful sales but this is more than I expected. We have good access via the expressway and I presume that the customers won’t go away. This will also lead to the revitalization of surrounding shops.”
