Being a pretty avid diver and a patron (former) of Torii SCUBA, the question begs to be asked? What is going on there? Torii used to be a great place to go to hang out, get great good and a good atmosphere. Now the negativity there towards everyone on Okinawa makes me never want to go there. I have done a boat dive once with the fathoms guys and found them to be not only professional, but really fun to dive with. It's really great that someone has found a new thing to dive because we all know the reefs get a little boring after a while here. Then these guys at Torii who think themselves as scuba gods that look down on the little people try to take it away from us. Knowing the diver that got DCS on the Emmons dive and by PERSONALLY speaking to him I better understand the situtation. Maybe the Torii dieties should do the same before spreading misinformation and negativity. I used to shop at Torii but since the transformation under Gary Hagland and the general slimy attitude there I no longer go there. When will the dive shops around here understand they are there for my pleasure not their own???
