Marines Should Get Out of Post Office

In response to the Gunny that wrote "Marines Work Long Hours at Post Office" in the March 1 issue. You have taken this entire subject personally. If you re-read my original letter you will note that I did not attack the Marines who work there. I attacked the way that the Post Office is managed. That’s even above you. It’s a Marine Corps problem. As for the Marines who work there, I am sure that there are many long hours involved, but as I said in the beginning, if the Marine Corps can not run the show, get out of the business. Maybe they should not have Marines in the Post Office at all. I am sure "Marines" have more important matters at hand to attend to.

It’s purely an upper management problem here.

As for volunteering. I have a job! There are billions of dollars pumped Through the U.S. Postal Service annually. You would think that our government could afford to hire the needed help to run a post office properly. Once again, this is an upper management problem.

As for me not publishing my name, well, I would like to continue to receive my mail while I am here. Nothing personal.
