Beautiful Drama to Shoot in OkinawaDate Posted: 2000-05-27 The story will depict the life of Eri Kohagura, a nurse born in Kohama Island, off Katsuren. She moves to Tokyo in 1972, just when Okinawa reverts to Japanese rule, through to the present. Yoshikazu Okada, whose mother is from Okinawa, wrote the story. The actress to play the heroine will be selected after a nationwide audition in October. The drama is to be aired on weekday mornings in 15-minute segments nationwide. It will also be shown on NHK affiliated channels in Hawaii and California. |
