Gangsters Try To Torch Failed HotelDate Posted: 2000-05-27 According to the police, one of the gang members had built the motel, but the business failed and the bank took over the property. Subsequently, the property was auctioned off, and bought by a Gushikawa real estate company. However, the previous owner refused to vacate the property and the new owner eventually was forced to obtain a court order to evict him. On the day of the impending eviction, police officers who had kept an eye on the motel, noticed that the previous owner together with six known local gang members were spreading gasoline on the walls, and concluded that the gangsters were about to set the building in fire. They then proceeded to arrest the seven before they were able to ignite the fire. |
