Date Posted: 2000-05-13

Exchange New Car Sales, a division of Overseas Military Sales Corporation, has donated a Model 2000 Dodge Minivan to the Cdr. William S. Stuhr Scholarship Fundís annual raffle. Tickets are on sale for $50 each, and all proceeds from the raffle will benefit this military specific educational endowment.

The Exchange New Car Sales contribution represents the single largest sum, in terms of potential revenue generation, ever received by the Stuhr Scholarship Fund. The Dodge Minivan is valued at $27,590. The Fund hopes to generate $50,000 from raffle ticket sales.

The Stuhr Scholarship Fund is available worldwide to sons and daughters of all five branches of the armed forces. Overseas Military Sales Corporation had been providing the overseas military with Chrysler, Ford and GM vehicles for over four decades.

During its 34 year history the William S. Stuhr Scholarship Fund has awarded scholarships to 165 children of the five armed forces to advance their education at colleges and universities throughout the United States. All scholarship winners are selected on their academic performance, leadership potential and financial need. Five scholarships are awarded each year to children of both enlisted personnel and commissioned officers.

Winners will be announced in New York on June 20th. For more information, contact Del Stella at 212-391-0002.
