First Birthday Party for Club Rhapsody

Club Rhapsody will be holding its one year anniversary party this Saturday, 6th May. The classy club, which aims to provide quality entertainment to the over 30 crowd, opens its doors at 9 pm. Headlining the event will be Mark Whitfield, jazz guitarist from New York who has seven CDs to his credit. Also playing will be Calvin Edwards, a rising star who has made two CDs. These two guitarists have a playing style similar to George Benson’s and Whitfield studied under him.

The party will be hosted by Maria Howell, one of Okinawa’s best talents.

There may be guest speakers who have performed at the club in the past. Dureil Farnell who runs the club says the Saturday program will be a big thank you to all the fans who have supported the venue. Club Rhapsody, which gets an average turnout of 60 to 70, has space for a maximum of 300. For its first birthday bash it is expecting a full house.
