JASDF Choppers to Fly VIPs

Helicopter crews of the Japan Air Self Defense Force conducted training yesterday at six locations around the island. The JASDF has the task of providing transport for participating VIPs.

They will use their Super Puma and Chinook aircraft. Officials estimate that there will be 80 VIPs requiring transport by helicopter. The choppers will be positioned at several strategic locations during the Summit. Yesterday’s training put a special emphasis on safety measures.
