Mayday Rallies by Union Workers

Union Okinawa, the 48,000 strong prefecture-wide workers union had a rally at Onoyama Park in Naha City on Monday to commemorate Mayday. At the end of the rally, attended by Okinawa Governor Keiichi Inamine, participants marched to Okinawa Prefectural Building.

Another rally was organized by the leftist-led 5,000-strong Okinawa Prefecture Workers’ Union who first gathered in Yogi Park and then marched down Kokusai Street in Naha City.
