The title gives the impression that we deliberately meant to misinform the public. Therefore we strongly request a correction to this letter. We agree with the spelling of the word Merengue and regret not having caught it in time. We also acknowledge the African roots of the Salsa dance; this is very true and it was an oversight on our part. We also request contact with Ms Sonia E. Villamizar to invite her to our club and to our Latin Community. As mentioned in our article, anyone is free to contribute ideas and we welcome every opportunity to spread our Latin culture, music and dance.
