Preparing for Japan and U.S. Friendship Baseball Tournament

On March 24th, Athletic Program Manager, Steven S. Lorland inspected Senagajima Baseball field in Tomishiro village where the“Japan and U.S. Friendship Baseball Tournament” is going to be held. Ten teams including “Fair Heaven” from Massachusetts are going to participate in this tournament. Tomishiro village has contacted the White House and asked Clinton to take the plate in the opening game when he visits Okinawa for the Summit. Steven Lorland says, “This is a great field surrounded by an ocean. If the president can attend the game, it will be wonderful. We would like to build our friendship even after the Summit.” A leader of Tomishiro Village Boys Sport Group, Yasuo Agariuesato said “Together with the American team we would like to make our dream of invitating the president to come true.”
