Time for 2000 Road Tax Collection

All motor vehicles not de-registered before the date of April 1st must pay a road tax in Japanese yen. Mini-car and motorcycle taxes must be paid in April to Japanese City offices in Okinawa between 8:30 a.m. and noon, or in the afternoon between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Mini-cars and motorcycles must display a blue 2000 Road Tax decal before May 1st. All other motor vehicles must display the blue decal before June 1st.
