Carnival Mardi Gras is this Sunday

The West Indian Associationís highly anticipated Carnival Mardi Gras will finally take place on Sunday, March 26th. The event will run from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Camp Foster (6th Marine Division Rd. and Stillwill Dr.).

All military and private organizations are invited to join in the carnival of colorful costumes and masquerades. Volunteers who wish to participate could still contact the organizers. For now, the organizations officially retained to participate in the event are: III MEF Band; Far East Knights (motorcycle club); Boy Scouts America Pack 112; New Orleans Family; Teruya Najimi Kodomokai Committee (kid Eisa dancers); Hispanic American Association); Kadena Kokusai Matsuri Daiko (Taiko Drummers); Tenryu Daiki Ryukyu Goku Matsuri Daiko (Eisa dancers); Kubasaki High School Varsity Cheerleaders; Girl Scouts - Foster Lone Troop Committee; Caribbean Heritage Association and West Indian Association.
