The highly awaited MCCS annual springtime gastronomic rendezvous is just around the corner. Come Saturday, March 25th, at Camp Foster’s Fieldhouse, MCCS Food Fair 2000 will be one more occasion for lovers of good food to check out the best of local and international cuisine in Okinawa. The food celebration will continue through Sunday the 26th.

As usual, the place will be set up with food stalls and culinary booths representing a wide variety of foods from all parts of the world represented on the island. Visitors at the Food Fair will have the chance to try a little bit of every tasty dish that they can. Representatives of several different countries will be on hand to provide guests with select ethnic and generic dishes from their respective motherlands.

There will also be a lot of cultural entertainment during this year’s Food Fair, much more than the years before. The entertainment schedule released by MCCS for the gastronomic fete has on program a remote broadcast by AFN Radio starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, followed by MCCS Club Chef’s cooking demonstration. Several other demos, cultural dances, DJ music and Taiko drums afterwards, the festivities will come to an end at around 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
