Date Posted: 2000-03-05

The students of Kadena High School will be going through a politically charged day this Friday, March 3rd in their campus. They will be holding their own version of the much anticipated Super Tuesday presidential primaries before the real thing happens stateside on Tuesday, March 7th. Super Tuesday is an event that happens only once every four years. This year, it is split into two dates: March 7th and March 14th. Kadena High School is doing a simulation of this event on their school campus, involving all their students. On Super Tuesday many states vote for the party candidate they would like to represent them at the final run for the White House. This year, there are 21 states lined up for Super Tuesday primaries. The student body has been divided

up to represent these states, and Kadena High AP Government class is running the event. The students in this class will represent the candidates running for the nomination as final candidates for the presidency. The students will then vote on who they want to win the nomination, and whoever gets the most votes in each state wins that state.
