Okinawa hosts five professional baseball teams' spring training

Five of Japanís 12 professional baseball teams started their spring training in Okinawa on Feb. 1. Last year's champions, the Yakult Swallows, set up camp in Urasoe; the Chunichi Dragons are practicing in Chatan; the Hiroshima Carp are settled in Okinawa City; the Nippon Ham Fighters are camping out in Nago; and the Orix Bluewave is sequestered in Hirara on Miyako Island. The Yokohama Baystars are scheduled to arrive in Ginowan on Feb. 5.
