China Airlines Resumes Direct Air Link Between Taiwan and the Philippines

Following the settlement of the Air Services Agreement between Taiwan and Philippines, China Airlines has decided to officially resume the full scheduled passenger and cargo services as of Wednesday, February 16th, 2000. Prior to the resumption of scheduled services, 3 extra passenger flights have been pre-arranged between Taipei and Manila for February 3rd, 7th and 12th. These flights will be carrying primarily home-coming Taiwanese businessmen - living in the Philippines - for the Chinese Lunar New Year.

The first extra flight on Thursday, February 3rd will take off from CKS Airport at 7:30 a.m., and arrive in Manila at 9:30 a.m., then return for Taipei at 10:30 a.m. to land there at 12:30 p.m. The other 2 flights are also scheduled to depart in the morning, around the same hours.
