Six hours of Eisa on tap in Yomitan Sunday

Eisa, Eisa and more Eisa is the order of the day Sunday at the 30th Yomitan Youth Eisa Festival at the Yomitan Baseball Park near Town Hall.

The festival starts with traditional ceremonies, the runs non-stop eisa until the traditional Kachashi dance at 8:15 p.m. and fireworks at 8:35 p.m. Closing ceremonies are at 8:45 p.m. The festival is free to the public, and car parking is also available free.

A total of 15 Eisa groups of Yomitan will perform, each with its own specialty and traditional Eisa dance. Groups participating are Hijya, Nagahama, Sobe, Furugen, Uza, Senaha, Toguchi, Kina, Namihira, Toya, Iramina, Zakimi, Gima, Takashiho, and Tokeshi youth eisa groups.
