House fire kills one in ShuriDate Posted: 2012-08-17 Authorities say they needed only 40 minutes to extinguish the blaze in the frame structure building. Naha Police and Naha City Firefighting Headquarters say three people who reportedly lived in the house were taken to a hospital for treatment. The extent of those victims’ injuries, including an adult female, are not known. Sifting through the rubble, firefighters discovered the body of a man about 10:54 p.m. Neighbors say a family of four people lived in the house. A woman believed to be the daughter of the family transported herself to the hospital. Naha Police are investigating both the cause of the fire and the identities of the fire victims. |
