Creative Craft Show attracts 59 entrantsDate Posted: 2012-08-10    This Plaza House Creative Craft Show complements two other annual craft fairs in the same venue, the Okinawa City Craft Fair each March, and the Woody Fair in November. This event has 59 vendors registered with crafts including pottery, carpentry, dying, fabric, glass, leather, lacquer, chasing, henna tattoo, portraits, paper making, audio, calligraphy and plaster. Plaza House Shopping Center says it is hosting the event to promote and grow local crafts, with emphasis on wood crafts, dying fabrics and lacquer ware, bring famous craft artisans into the public spotlight to show their wares. Customers will have the option of not only seeing original works, but to purchase them on the spot. The event invites creators to show their confidential works. Buyers have the opportunity meet the artisans and to get a feel of how they designed their crafts. Creators likewise have opportunities to exchange ideas with visitors to the craft show. |
