Their favorite local foods are takoyaki and yakitori. As the best part of Okinawa they cite “gorgeous sunsets and the kindness of local people.” As for their plans to explore more of Japan while stationed here, they say that they definitely would like to visit Hokkaido in the northern part of the country before leaving.
