ANA wins Skytrax’ Best Transpacific Airline AwardDate Posted: 2012-08-03 Winning the coveted Best Transpacific Airline award from Skytrax, which runs the World Airlines Award, is something special for ANA. The title is based on comprehensive appraisal of ANA’s customer services and products, including airport check-in, airport lounges, cabin service and arrival procedures at airports. “We’re very proud and honored”, says Tetsuo Fukuda, Senior Vice President and Head of Customer Service & Products and Service Innovations at ANA. ANA last year won the World’s Best Airport Services award, and also the Staff Service Excellence Asia Award from the World Airlines Award program. Fukuda pledged ANA’s future “providing best-in-class products and services that clearly distinguish us from the low cost carriers, with the goal of becoming Asia’s Number One airline for quality and customer satisfaction.” The Japanese airline now operates eight routes across the Pacific, with a new ninth route that started July 25th from Tokyo Narita to Seattle. Later in the year there’s to be a Narita-San Jose route launch. Skytrax, based in London as an airline industry consulting and rating company, was established in 1989. It’s annual awards are based on independently run customer surveys, including on-line questionnaires, with more than 200 airlines. Aside from the World Airline Awards, Skytrax also maintains the Airline Star Ranking, which rates airlines on a scale of one to five. ANA currently is rated ‘Four Stars’. |
