Kin Town showcases its best during festivalDate Posted: 2012-07-27 ![]() ![]() ![]() A Bonsai exhibition, a North Dam office exhibition, one from the Okinawa Electric Power Company and another from Tour de Okinawa, plus yet another from Los Brazil Kin Civilian Picture Exhibition, all are part of Kin Town’s way of luring more visitors for the annual festival. The exhibitions run 10 a.m. ~ 6 p.m. both days. Outdoors on Saturday, a Kids Sumo Wrestling Tournament and the All-Okinawa Sumo Wrestling Tournament are on tap starting at 10 a.m. for kids and noon for adults at Kin Athletic Park. On Sunday, the action comes in form of a seven-hour Ground Golf Tournament beginning at 9 a.m. On stage both days will be a variety of events. Saturday sees Kin Yuhi Daiko at 5 p.m., followed by the Maekawa Shuken Family Show. The Iwate Prefecture Youno Town Kids Performance is at 6 p.m., with traditional stage events and Igei Eisa next. Twin Cross and Asano live music is at 7:30 p.m., with fireworks capping the evening at 8:40 p.m. Sunday’s entertainment begins at 4:30 pm. with Kamen Rider Foze show, followed by the Ryukyu Traditional Dance Show. In the evening, more dance, including the Musunainai Festival Kin Kachashi at 7:40 p.m., and fireworks wrapping up the festival at 8:40 p.m. Kin Town’s located on Okinawa’s north coast, adjacent o Camp Hansen. Events will be at Kin Town and the Athletic Field. |
